First of all, we would like to express our gratitude for your hard work on the clinical trial COLO CP-01 so far and thank you for your continuous support.

As of December 2009, 1420 patients have been randomized to the study. Therefore, we have now reached our goal for enrollment.

We have compiled the best advices from your colleagues which were presented at the brainstorming meeting in Paris November 2007 and at the Investigators Meeting for the Russian sites in Vienna in October 2008. We hope they will assist you in ensuring maximum patient retention:

 

Best advices to ensure maximum patient retention

  • Give patients VIP status
    Be flexible when making appointments
    Ensure no waiting time
    Ensure same site staff for the patient at every visit
    Nurse the patients (offer refreshment)
    Supply contact info of study staff for the patients
  • Identify and learn from previous drop-outs
  • Be aware of allowed NSAID usage
